I love it when my yoga teacher calls us students yogis.
Thanks to my 24-year-old daugher, I have rediscovered yoga after some 30 years. Who knew? I'm a reality TV and movie junkie, and I can't exercise without my IPod turned up to 11. I bore easily. And yet, here I am on Tuesday nights in a yoga studio twisting my body into the "Child's Pose," "Table" or "Three-legged Cat," with neither the Ipod nor TV, just me and the soothing voice of my instructor telling me to thank myself for this gift I am giving myself for being there. And she's right. Here is the one time I allow myself to shut out the world, move my body with my breath and relax naturally.
So to that, I say what our yoga teacher says when she ends each session
Namaste

Getting DVDs from the library is a great way to try them out and keep your practice fresh :)
